Everyone on the New Loomio

We’ve reached the final step in the process of switching everyone over the the new and improved Loomio interface. We’re now so confident that all our users will have a good time on Loomio 1.0 that we’re getting ready to turn off Loomio Beta, the previous prototype version that some legacy users are still on.

Here’s what you need to know.

All the core Loomio features you know and love, along with all your discussions, decisions, and data, will still be there – just better!

The old Loomio will be switched off soon. If you haven’t switched before then, you’ll be switched automatically to the new interface.

What makes the new Loomio great?

  • Cleaner, more intuitive interface — it’s easier to start new groups, invite people in, and configure settings
  • Interactive dashboard keeps you up to date — updates happen live on screen
  • Designed for all your devices, from smartphone to desktop
  • Accessible to people who are blind, and who speak different languages
  • You can use emojis!!

And lots more – check it out for yourself.

Browser Compatibility

The new Loomio works on all modern browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, and IE. If you’re using IE, you’ll need version 10.0 or later. If your browser is out of date, upgrade it.

If you can’t change software due to restrictions at your organisation, please contact your IT administrator and request they upgrade it for you. Alternatively, if you have a smartphone or tablet, you can use Loomio on that instead.

Switch Now!

If you’re still using the Beta version, you should see a message inviting you to switch at the top of your screen when you log into Loomio.

Just log into Loomio, click the button, and you’re good to go! You’ll be given some helpful info about using the new interface.

If you have feedback about your experience with the new Loomio interface, or your need help, click the ‘give feedback’ button in the lower lefthand corner of your Loomio screen.
